Michael obtained his bachelor’s degree in Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Illinois at Chicago.
As an innovative Project Manager bringing 17 years of success in underground construction & site development managing various types of contracts, instituting cost and schedule controls establishing best practices.
In May of 2001, Mike came on board with PirTano Construction. His administrative and field knowledge along with his municipal and developer project experience proved to be an asset for PirTano.
As a Project Manager his responsibilities include working with municipalities, governmental agencies, residents, engineers, owners & sub-contractors in identifying problems / needs and determining a viable solution. In a construction management capacity his strengths shine by staying on task and planning. By using various types scheduling software, he can systematically identify the critical path items to ensure the project will be completed on time.
As an Estimator his responsibilities include compiling bid documents, understanding of scopes and distribution of work to various trades. Using HCSS estimating software he puts together accurate and complex bids that shows his detailed understanding in construction practices which is essential for responsible estimating.
Being an Estimator / Project Manager fully embodies the role of General Contractor for an entire project. Mike’s attitude of “let’s get it done” is instrumental to our team.
