O’Hare Airport – Runway “Victor”

Challenge: Working on runway “Victor” at O’Hare Airport, in Chicago, one of the busiest airports in the world, PirTano fiber crews are pulling in “Inner duct” and new fiber Optic cables into a 70-year-old duct system under the Runway.

Strategy: This extremely delicate work must be done at night. There are active hi speed data lines in the adjacent ducts and great care must be taken in order not to not damage those fiber lines. After a successful pulling of the inner duct a new 48 count fiber optic cable will be pulled into this inner duct. This work is being done for Motorola Solutions thru Hartmann electric.
